Model Town_Baerum/Norway 2013 Masterplanning Europan 12- Public competition for architects under 40. A new regional node. Sandvika’s northern area becomes a place where living and working becomes compatible. A new “old” centre that turns into a gateway to a green network for the municipality and that supports an heterogeneous identity. By creating this new node with a medium residential density we accommodate growth in the area and allow the municipality to deal with the expected change in the population’s age. We foster social resilience by creating a city for all ages.

2013 Masterplaning

Europan 12- Public competition for architects under 40. Setting out a chronological development of the project. The complexity and variety of the operations to which it relates and depends upon in different degrees (substitution of existing road infrastructures by new tunnelled highways, decommission and demolition of the petrol station, redevelopment of Sandvika town centre etc.) calls for a different approach. Each stage is a discrete milestone that can trigger a subsequent set of interventions.

Model Town_Baerum/Norway 2013 Masterplaning Europan 12- Public competition for architects under 40. The proposal aims at maximising the productive potential of Hamang. Drawing back on its past image as Sandvika’s backyard, the area is to become the live/ work pole of the new regional urban centre. Thus, whilst the southern edge of town is to consolidate its definition as a leisure, commercial and cultural centre, Hamang will foster emerging business and work ecologies through the design of new work places and an upcycling of its existing industrial infrastructures.

ÁGORA- A Coruña Social and Cultural centre 2011 Site management as partner in Rojo/Fernández-Shaw Architects, Madrid (Spain) A building with many significant elements was not easy to built. The huge metalic structure, composed by trusses that save a height of more than 10 meters , concrete walls, the wooden beams , the glass wall and the green roof on top of it made of the site management a big effort.

A won competition in 2008 in Ciudad Real gave the office the opportunity to buildt the dwellings. Using a traditional gable roof, the most significant aspect of the set are the fassades, made up of prefabricated pieces of concrete with a pattern. Special care for the shared areas of the complex gives the environment a perfect scale to develop the life outside the houses.

Park&Park, Preston

2013 Urban Regeneration

Forgotten Spaces 2103. RIBA competition. Shortlisted project. We propose a series of interventions on the car park façades that occur periodically and that therefore turn into events. We do not alter the car park’s function in any way, just add value to the site making the most of its latent potential. The structure is reinvented as a constantly changing folly, reconfiguring its relation with the surrounding landscape. Preston´s interpretation of the Tate turbine hall, the Serpentine Pavilion or Trafalgar Square´s fourth plinth generates value through anticipation.

ART PRODUCTION CENTRE

2008 Architecture and urban regeneration

Final project developed for the Master in Architecture The old Carlsberg Brewery is not been used anymore. The big complex, located in a privileged area in Copenhaguen, after years of activity needs now to be redesigned and reintegrated in the city. A treatment of its perimeter allows a gradual intervention in the area maintaining some of the historical buildings and introducing some new colonization elements based on the strata idea.
