Despite being declared dead by a variety of commentators in the years since the emergence of the modern internet, Privacy appears to be more important than ever. Whether it is as a result of the FTC's focus on Data Privacy as a consumer issue (i.e. ensuring that you do with data what you say you will do with it), the renewal and revision of EU Data Protection laws currently underway, or the increasing move to homogenous standard principles (largely centered on the EU model), or as a result of the evolution and emergence of Cloud Computing. Given that in recent days it has emerged that Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook who famously declared Privacy to be an outmoded concept, has secured patents on mechanisms for people to control how their personal data is shared and with whom it is clear that there is a significant momentum for change developing. This webinar explores the relationship between Information Quality Management, Data Governance, and the standards and practices required for effective Data Protection Compliance.Attendees will gain insights into the specific areas of overlap and develop an understanding of how a holistic approach that treats Information as an Asset can allow them to meet current and emerging requirements and standards in this rapidly evolving area.
