Røvær

On top of the mountain peak of 324 m a.s.l.

The island of Røvær is 25 minutes west of

Sandnes, as well as of the mountainous area

less than 100 inhabitants, one hotel, summer

you have splendid views, both of Stavanger and facing east. The easiest hike to Dalsnuten is on a wide path, passing lake Gramstadtjørn and

through a small forest with shelters available. Pram-friendly hiking trails from Gramstad to

Kubbetjørn and Revholstjørn. Gramstad or Dale. Return trip 2 hours, 3.8 km VII/B5 Season: All year.

Haugesund, in the middle of the ocean. With cafe, boat harbour and Røvær Aquaculture

­Centre, this is a community most of us won’t see on a daily basis. Previously, the Vikings

lived here, and it has been homes of many a ­fisherman. This was a busy layover for seafarers. VII/A3 Season: All year.
