Italy This October, take a tour through Italy at our library. Celebrate all Italy has to offer with a travelogue program through the Italian countryside, an Italian basics cooking class, Wine 101 and lots of wine bottle-themed craft nights. Saluti! Cooking With Chef Cherise: Classic Italian Wednesday, October 4, 7:30-8:30 pm Buon appetito! Chef Cherise shows us how easy it is to make pasta from scratch. Tasty bites and recipes will be shared for homemade linguine, spicy marinara sauce, chopped salad with red wine vinaigrette and Italian biscotti cookies. R Fairytale Wine Charms Friday, October 13, 6:30-8 pm Ages 18 and older. Create a set of custom wine charms with wire, beads and acrylic laser-cut pennants of symbols from fairytales and folklore. Package your set in an organza pouch with a gift tag. R All About Wine 101 Monday, October 16, 7-8:30 pm Ages 21 and older with photo ID with birth date. Join us for a presentation on all things wine led by a representative from Wheeling's own Lynfred Winery. An optional wine tasting will be included in the program. There will be a drawing for a gift certificate to the winery for one lucky winner. R
