TO WHOM?

WHAT 1S 1NF0RMAT10N TECHN0L0GY PR0GRAM?

ITP is a summer program that combines academic education and business projects into an intensive experience. The purpose is to provide students with a strong applied understanding of Information Technologies. The program provides necessary concepts and approaches that enable students with diverse back 2014

grounds to operate effectively in the global business environment. The program consists of two simultaneous subprograms with different areas of concentration. Students can participate in one of the subprograms during the summer. The subprograms of ITP in 2014 are: Information & Service Business (ISB) and Strategy & Experience Design (SED). Both subprograms are worth 24 ECTS credits and are recognized as a minor subject in the MSc program at the School of Business. ITP studies can be extended to 30 ECTS with additional coursework and are thus recognized as a minor subject in the BSc program at the School of Business and other universities.

HOW? The subprograms of ITP consist of three academic courses and a Business Project course. The academic courses are in intensive three week modules. Each course includes 42 contact hours, excluding group work and individual assignments. The courses are held on 4 days per week, generally from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The fourth module in both subprograms is the Business Project, which is carried out during the 1/3

entire summer in groups of 3–5 students. All students participating in ITP are required to complete all the courses, including the Business Project. GOOD TO KNOW Neither of the subprograms requires previous experience or studies in the field, although both are naturally helpful. However, it is essential that students are fluent in English. All communication in ITP is in English. Attendance is mandatory in all classes and course related events arranged by the program. Students should be aware that according to ITP rules, students who do not attend to at least 80% of scheduled class meetings in a specific course will fail the course. Here at ITP we are a sociable bunch of people. We know you will work hard throughout the summer, so we aim to ease it out a little and organize plenty of social events and company visits.
