The Measures Taken… Yes, exactly. And my view is that it is better to be in the EU. The vote to leave is a mistake, a moral mistake. We lack leadership, we lack integrity at the highest levels. The Cameron government was a disaster and will be recognised as a disaster. So, in terms of my life as a theatre producer or the life of theatre in this country specifically – because the UK has been so inward looking, I don’t imagine the effects will be immediately damaging. But in so far as we are all citizens, what ever else we may do, it is profoundly damaging – because it’s dishonest, it’s basically dishonest and unscrupulous. And lies always have consequences, whether in the short term or the long term.

The other thing I’d say – I first came across this formulation expressed by Maoists in the ‘70s: there’s always a better or worse option. Of any possible options there’s a better and a worse one. And one’s obligation and responsibility is to make a decision about which is the better one and which is the worse one.
