WORKING WITH NATURAL MATERIALS Peels are collected and halved, pulp is removed, and the natural materials are thoroughly washed.
Depending on the final product, peels are cut into a variety of shapes to achieve the desired effect. Maria is cutting long strands to make our Pom Necklace.
Sun drying each piece for at least seven days removes excess moisture while leaving natural oils for a light citrus scent.
Everything in our Made From FruitTM collection is a labor of love and a cultivation of oneof-a-kind craftsmanship from eco-friendly materials.
how UPCYCLED STYLE is made Orange peels are collected from street juice vendors. These upcycled pieces, which would have otherwise been thrown away, are cleaned and prepped to be transformed into flowers, twists, or spirals. After drying in the sun for seven days, they harden to a texture similar to stiff leather while retaining natural oils for a light citrus scent. Natural dyes are added to create bright styles, or the peels can remain uncolored for a whiteish hue.
