History Of KEEP

International School of the Sacred Heart

KEEP was founded in the year 1938 by Paul Rusch. It was made as a Christian camp and leadership center called Seisen Ryo.

Kiyosato Educational Experiment Project (KEEP)

10 years later after the founding there was four ideals. The ideals are Food, Health, Faith and Hope for youth. In 1947 they encouraged dairy farming. KEEP is still encouraging other farming skills. In the earlier years KEEP made St. Andrew’s Church. They also made a health clinic, community library, farm, and school.

THINGS TO DO FOOD

There are many attractions at KEEP. Such as, a dormouse museum, butter making, and there is a shuttle that takes you to a small shopping street so you can enjoy the peaceful environment of Kiyosato. In KEEP there is a gift shop; so you can buy souvenir objects. There is also a festival called CantiCounty Fair-Festival. This is a festival for harvesting food. ‘Hope for Tomorrow’ is the theme.

KEEP has delicious food. They serve breakfast, lunch (summer only), and dinner. They have a wide selection of tasty dishes. ADULT

There are many different types of rooms in KEEP. For one adult, the price goes as high as 11,000 yen. The lowest can go up to 7,000 yen. They are three different types of rooms.

There is also a farm that has picnic tables. So you can eat your delicious food while enjoying the nice outdoor scenery. Also at KEEP they raise Jersey cows, their milk is the milk they use to make butter. Not only that, but it’s delicious. They serve it at the restaurant . They’re jam is also very scrumptious.
