The best season for visit the Delta, being Young tourists, is summer, because on the beaches we perform some activities. You can enjoy the great weather and practice all kind of sports, both aquatic and terrestrial, and enjoy the wide range of seafood offered by the Mediterranean Sea, as well.

FLORA Inland mountain ranges, the Ebre valley and Delta plains offer extremely varied habitats for vegetation. Therefore there is an abundance of different flora in Terres de lâ€™Ebre. In Els Ports Massif and neighbouring mountain ranges there are around 1,000 species of vegetation typical of the climate in the Mediterranean and mountain areas, for example garrigue shrubland and fan palms. There are also holm oak forests, pine groves and in the highest, most humid areas, different kinds of beech trees. As for fluvial ecosystems, the Natural Area of Sebes must be mentioned. It is located on the left bank of the Ebre River, towards Flix reservoir, where one of the most extensive areas of reed beds in Catalonia has grown. However, the most magnificent flora can be seen on the Ebre Delta: a unique area in Catalonia with innumerable species of vegetation which have adapted to the salinity of the sea. European Marram grass and sea lilies are some of the plants which grow on the dunes covering the beaches at the Delta. And in the riverside forest which grows close to the fresh water of the river, we can see willow, alder, elm and eucalyptus trees. FAUNA The most typical fauna in Terres de lâ€™Ebre is to be found in natural areas like Els Ports massif, Sebes Nature Reserve and the Ebre Delta. The environmental importance of the delta lies in the large number of birds living there. More than 350 species of birds can be observed in this area, making it one of the most important in the Mediterranean basin. As for mountain fauna, the diverse landscape of Els Ports Massif is home to a wide variety of native species, such as the wild goat, otters, the Iberian lynx and many different birds of prey. For birdwatchers, Sebes Nature Reserve in Flix is a must, with over 200 species of birds, including the marsh harrier, white stork, golden oriole or the kingfisher.
GASTRONOMY As the Terres de l'Ebre has such a variety of landscapes, there is a huge amount of wonderful culinary produce - from the sea and mountains – which forms the base of their tasty traditional cuisine and is one of the main tourist attractions. The mountain forests of Ports, interior dry plains, vegetable gardens along the Ebre River and the Delta plain offer lots of different products. Lots of products have been given the Protected Designation of Origin or the Protected Geographic Indication, two certificates which recognize the quality of produce, for example cured meats with rice, olive oil, wine from Terra Alta and a variety of desserts of Arabic origin. All making this unique, extra special Catalonian gastronomy. Cuisine from Terres de l'Ebre reflects the Mediterranean landscape. A diverse, balanced diet, where food from the fields and sea share key roles. Fruit and vegetables, cereal like rice, or fish, shellfish, desserts, olive oil, honey and wine are some of the most representative quality products of Ebre gastronomy. WEATHER The Delta del Ebro is the largest wetland in Catalonia. It has the most important aquatic western Mediterranean after the Camargue (French Regional Park).
