4. Artist Gallery/ Showroom Objective: Create a New Artist Studio Gallery and Product Showroom in Bricktown Site Information: The site is located at 121 East California Street. The site lies between the water canal and California Street. The site is approximately 26’-0” wide by 120’-0” deep. The current north and south brick façade are to removed. The client wants new facades that relate to the new interior designs as well as relate to the exterior context.

Metabolism was the most important urban architectural, artistic and philosophical movement, that Japan produced in the twentieth century. Metabolist architects and designers believed that cities and buildings are not static entities, but are are ever-changing—organic with a “metabolism.”
