Dear Parents, I would like to thank all who were involved in organising country tables, who spent time supervising the tables, or who cooked a dish for the International Family Food Fair. Also a huge thank you to all of the performers on the day. It really was a joy to see all parts of our community come together to celebrate their countries and cultures. It was a wonderful reminder of the cultural diversity of our school and of our community. Of course, an international education amounts to more than food, flags and festivals and must be based upon developing genuine inter-cultural understanding and global awareness, but there should also be no underestimation of the importance of creating that space to celebrate each and every nationality that we have within the school. Save the date? We are in the planning stages of an exciting 10th Anniversary Celebration Dinner and Gala at the Grand Hyatt on 25 April. All parents and staff of the school will be invited, and tickets for this event will 150 QAR. The evening will contain performances and representations of student work from all parts of the school as well as a sumptuous dinner and soft drinks, served by the Grand Hyatt. Further details will follow. Tickets will go on sale soon. Draft Academic Calendar 2019 ? 2020 You will find the draft calendar for the next academic year here. While we hope that this draft calendar may help you plan ahead for holidays next year, please note that this has not yet been approved by the Ministry of Education and so may well be subject to change.
Lost & Fou n d Every day students misplace and forget pieces of clothing, water bottles, food bags etc. These items are placed in the atrium. Please look through the Lost & Found shelves if your child have some things that have gone missing. After Thursday 21st March all items will be removed and donated to charity.
