HE victory that Christ has given us is beyond our comprehension. Apostle Paul told us in Eph 3:20 that He “ is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us” And that power is the power to do His divine purpose even it seems to be impossible. This is what we have experience in the past few months. The things that we are praying for and the hope that we are hoping for really happened. Just from the beginning of this year, we dream of having a ministry among the Muslim people of Indonesia. As we all know, Indonesia, the most populous Islamic nations in the world, is also a haven of many of the most radical Islamic movements, including and most especially a group called Jamaa Islamiah, who, many people believe, has a strong link with international terrorist groups. Just recently, a local pastor in one of the islands, was sewn into half by radical Muslim when he refused to recant his faith. His church was burned and his family was asked to leave their village. This kind of horrific environment haunts many Christians in that country. Although the country is generally peaceful, especially in the big cities, but these things still happens intermittently as an indication that martyrdom because of one’s faith, is nonetheless very true in the world today. Almost every month, since Feb 08, IMI visits the country and have ministered to more than 500 Christian workers, pastors and missionaries, in order to strengthen their faith and just to show them that they have brethren from the outside -

- world that cares and prays for them. For IMI, the job is almost next to impossible, but we were able to, because God gave us the power to “Go and make disciples of all nations.” It is the victory that in Him and through Him we were able to accomplish things which are beyond our capability, therefore it is beyond our imagination. od also manifested His divine power during the 1st ever National Church Planters Congress where IMI and Church Planters League (CPL) are the lead organizers. IMI and CPL are organizations involved in Church Planting and training of pastors in South East Asia. Both organizations are working together in order to ins-

-tigate missions among the unreached peoples of the world. The budget and the manpower needed for the said congress was way beyond our means, yet by the power of God, the congress, became so successful, that was graced by the presence of prominent evangelical Christian leaders in the Philippines. It was Victory at Hand! More than 200 pastors and Christian workers, from different groups and denominations came to the congress and discussed the fate of Philippine missions. Most of these pastors work among the poorest of the poor. Together, we bow to start a movement for national transformation where the Christian ministers will take the lead in shaping the destiny of our nation. This is another big leap of faith. And again, it is by faith in God and the hope that His power will be at work in us so that we, together with your prayers, can accomplish great things for the glory of God. So for you who are reading this piece of material, I pray that the Lord shall greatly bless you, your family and ministry. That no matter where or what you are in right now, no matter what struggles or challenges you are facing right now, I would like to assure you that by the grace of God. Victory is at hand!

FIRST CHURCH PLANTERS CONGRESS A VICTORY!

He holding of First National Church Planters Congress in Tubod, Minglanlla, Cebu in the country of the Philippines was indeed a victory! Although from the planning stage up the time where the event was on-going, the needed funds was not sufficient to pay all the necessary bills. The church planters who attended the said historic event were asked to raise money to pay for their registration, food and lodging.

However, many of them were not able to. 12 delegates went to the congress with one way ticket, hoping that God will provide for their ticket going back.. And it was so! God has provided their transportation money going back home. 220 delegates came to Central Philippines from almost all regions and made plan together on how to Pursue the Vision for Global Mission. IMI Int’l Director Herbie Carmona spearheaded the project.

We praise the Lord for all the victory He has given us, not only in the ministry but also in our families. As of now, many of the pastor’s kids have sicknesses such as colds, fever and flu, influenza, and weak lungs among others. One of the pastors testified that the Lord healed his son from Dengue fever miraculously even without professional medical care. One lady pastor, a widow, also tearfully testified how the Lord provided for their needs. Her children were sick with malnutrition because of lack of food. But now, God gave them provisions through a small-scale sari-sari store they’d set up. She said. “I really praise the Lord for His goodness.” God is wonderful and those who trust in Him shall never be abandoned! Praise HIM! SPECIAL PRAYER REQUESTS. Help us pray for… …the funds that are needed in order to grant for insurance policies of every church planter who attended the First National Congress. Up to this date, many of them do not have any retirement plan, insurance policies such as medical, accident and death policies. As part of our effort to equip and to support the grassroots church planters for national transformation, we are praying that at least we provide the yearly insurance for them with a very minimal cost of only 10 dollars per year. With our present membership of more than 200 pastors and church planters, we are praying for 2,000 US dollars for this project. He is the Lord of all, therefore we trust in Him! Trust with us for this. AMEN!
