ISIC – MasterCard in Market The ISIC - MasterCard Programme has been successfully launched in Argentina, Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Hong Kong, Hungary, Russia, Serbia and South Korea - leading to over 100 co-brand partnerships around the world.

 Many more ISIC issuers and banks are interested in working with MasterCard, discussions are underway in Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Poland, Singapore and Turkey with MasterCard and ISIC about this opportunity.

 A number of countries and banks are at an advanced stage of implementation such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, India, Kenya, Montenegro, Sri Lanka and the USA.

ISIC MasterCard in France WHO

 Launched May 2009 by LCL Banque et Assurance (Le Crédit Lyonnais) and ISIC’s Licensed Authority GSC France.

 Credit MasterCard (immediate and deferred) and Maestro® plus online based personalised photo card design (a first in France)

ISIC – MasterCard® for the International Student Community

ISIC - Maestro in Austria WHO

 Launched November 2006 by Erste Bank and ISIC’s Austrian Licensed Authority STA Travel.

WHAT

 The BankCardStudentID card is a co-branded Maestro debit and ATM card enhanced with PayPass™ contactless payments.

SUCCESS

 36,000+ MasterCard – ISIC cards issued in 2009, 40,000+ in 2010 and 55,000+ in 2011. Ongoing card sales are expected to reach 60,500+ cards per year until 2013.

PROMOTION

 Co-brand promotions and sponsorship activities held at all major Austrian universities supported by on-going turnkey promotions.

ISIC - MasterCard in Russia WHO

 Launched by the Bank of Moscow and Sputnik - ISIC, the ISIC’s Licensed Authority in Russia.

WHAT

 The Ice credit card is a plastic card that combines the usual functionalities (Credit card, student ID and discount) but also provides a transport application (cashless payment of Moscow underground fares), free Web-banking and SMS informing.

SUCCESS

 5,000+ MasterCard – ISIC cards were sold in 2011, 10,000+ cards are projected to be sold in 2012.

PROMOTION

 Co-branded promotions and marketing material have been developed to support the launch.

ISIC - MasterCard in South Korea WHO

 Launched by ISIC Licensed Authority KISES with KEB, Hana Bank and Shinhan Bank.

WHAT

 Historic co-operation between major South Korean banks delivers a co-branded debit/cheque card with PayPass contactless payments and ‘digital campus’ student card.

SUCCESS

 Mass conversion of a Visa card portfolio to MasterCard following the signing of the global ISIC – MasterCard partnership agreement.

 Focus on the ISIC – MasterCard card as a lifestyle card for today’s South Korean international students.
