The field of existential psychotherapy is extremely wide and diverse, making it difficult to have a clear uniformity of this therapeutic approach. For this reason, in my opinion, it would be better when talking about existential psychotherapies to include all approaches which, although at first sight may seem different and far apart, they have actually important and fundamental aspects in common.
This was evident during the last World Congress of Existential Therapy held in May in London, when for the first time representatives of existential orientation in psychology, from over 50 countries worldwide, met together.
