Nightshow Ischgl

Experience a spectacular night-time show on the Prennerhang with the Ischgl Ski School. There will be breath-taking formation rides by our demo teams alongside other daredevil activities. The youngest members of Ischgl Ski Club will also be braving the steep descent of the Prennerhang, conquering the hearts of all skiing fans. A demons tration of the wide range of snow sports with plenty of fun sports equipment, Telemark skiing and snowboarding thrown in too! The DJ will provide suitable musical accompaniment to the performan ces to get the crowd going. A must-see!

Tobogganing evening

Ischgl offers night-time tobogganing fun along the 7 km toboggan run from the Idalp to Ischgl. With its 7 km of sledging and 950m altitude, Ischgl’s night-time toboggan run is one of the longest trails in the Alps. The Silvrettabahn A1 cable car leads up to the top and operates from 7 pm - 8.30 pm. The Idalp mountain restaurant offers a magical mountain lodge ambience with atmospheric music and Tyrolean specialities. The night-time tobogg an run is open from mid-December to approx. start of April on Mondays and Thursdays whenever the weather conditions are suitable. Toboggans can be acquired from Silvretta-Sports at the mountain station. NB: hire fee must be paid at the same time as the ticket purchase. Tobogganing tickets are valid for one trip on the Silvrettabahn A1 cable car. The toboggan run is closed during the day.

Whether a beginner, professional, freeriding enthusiast or ski touring beginner – the wide range of off-piste offers available in Paznaun is truly unrivalled and offers the perfect challenge for every ability level. Narrow gullies, wide deep snowy slopes with a moderate gradient or steep descents dotted with cliffs with a gradient of up to 50 degrees – we offer off-piste fun for everyone!

Even when there is fresh new snowfall, deep snow fans will find pristine runs to keep them amused. The best ski guides in the region ensure that surfing the fresh powder snow is always a risk-free and unforgettable experience. Freeriding courses for beginners and professionals can be booked at all ski schools in Paznaun, on request.

Ski tours are a must for mountain enthusiasts and people who want to experience the Alpine winter up close, away from the well-trodden trails and busy pistes. For those wishing to experience the fantastic high Alpine landscape, there are various comfortable mountain lodges offering over night accommodation for longer excursions away from the pistes. A day ski tour in Paznaun is a unique experience and can easily be extended. There is an endless array of possibilities for challenging yourself and your body and pushing yourself to the limit while being in harmony with nature. Whether you are sporty, prefer to play it safe or want to learn or gain a taster of how to climb the mountain on fur-covered skis, you can count on the experienced mountain guides.

Ski tours classic-style taster course

Every Thursday or daily private Experience the beauty of the mountains with certified mountain and ski guides. Learn how to tackle ascents and descents safely in unsecured ski regions. Take advantage of the experience of the guides at the Ischgl Ski School and take your first steps out into the untouched deep snow.

Winter hiking

A winter walk is the perfect way to enjoy some peaceful moments in Paznaun. The ideal way to take a break from everyday life, let your thoughts run free and relax. The slow pace of walking and tranquil natural environment, shrouded in white, are stimulating. The network of hiking trails extends over 60 km and runs from an altitude of 1,060 m up to 2,036 m. The Swiss Samnaun region can also be explored on foot or else you can savour the nature and tranquillity in one of Paznaun’s tributary valleys, far away from any stress or noise.

Cross-country skiing

Cross-country holidays in Paznaun are based on a unique offer with exceptional service and top quality. This includes service-oriented infrastructure for accessing the main trail and cross-country courses for beginners, advanced skiers and ambitious cross-country skiers. The offers provided by the quality tested cross-country establis hments form the optimal basis for a holiday on and off the crosscountry trails.

The 73 km network of trails provides cross-country skiers with the opportunity to practise all styles in the winter landscapes of Paznaun and up to an altitude of 2,037 m. In addition to classic style, there is also a wide skating area available. And best of all – use of the cross-country trail in Paznaun is free.

All of the trails are described and depicted in the “Cross-Country & Winter Walks“ folder complete with a “Kompass“ map. This folder can be obtained free-of-charge from the tourist information offices or direct from your accommodation establishment.

Daredevils can try out the Ischgl Skyfly and glide back down the valley towards Ischgl, 50 m above ground, suspended from a cable . Speeds of up to 85 km/h are reached along the 2 km trail . Two parallel cables run from the Silvrettabahn A1 middle station (1,683 m) via two intermediate stations and three route sections to the roof terrace of the 3-S Pardatschgratbahn A2 valley station (1,365 m) . This means that two people can “fly“ back down into the valley alongside one another . The second section of the route at this attraction runs beneath the “Kitzloch“ suspension bridge and “Fimbabahn“ through the spectacular Kitzlochklamm gorge . Adrenaline and adventure are guaranteed! o SNOW SHOE WALKS

The white and beautifully snowy landscapes are just waiting to be explored . Snow shoe walking is the ideal way of recharging your batteries and recovering from the stress and hustle and bustle of everyday life . Snow shoe walking is easy to learn and so enables non-skiers to experience unique walks in a picturesque winter landscape . Please bring your own ski poles. During a guided tour, you can get to know the most beautiful spots and learn the right technique to make the walk even more enjoyable .

100 per cent fun, 0 per cent emissions: Once you have cruised through MoonBikes Area Ischgl on a MoonBikes, you won’t want to get off . The electric snowbikes achieve speeds of up to 42 kilometres per hour and are suitable for snow depths of up to 30 centimetres . Don’t miss the chance to hop on one of the crazy winter bikes and experience some serious snow fun! Cool side effect: MoonBikes are powered by an electric motor, making them particularly eco-friendly .

Hiking in the moonlight: The evening walk to Bodenalpe is a highlight for nocturnal nature lovers . The meeting point for this unique winter hike is at Silvrettabahn valley station . After two to three hours, you will be rewarded with a delicious meat fondue at Bodenalpe restaurant . At the end of the tour, you and your fellow hikers will enjoy a laid-back snowcat ride back to the starting point of your hike .

Eating and drinking are a particular treat on holiday in Paznaun: the available offers are bound to captivate any palate. Whether you prefer traditional or sophisticated dining.

Over the last few years, Ischgl has established itself as Tyrol’s gourmet stronghold, thereby emphasising its core culinary expertise. The fact that the cuisine in Ischgl is consistently at the top level is shown by the results of the renowned restaurant guides “Gault Millau“, “A la Carte“ and “Falstaff“. In the community of 1,600 inhabitants in the Tyrolean Paznaun, 10 restaurants were awarded a total of 28 toques in the “Gault Millau“. The “A la Carte“ Guide and “Falstaff“ Guide have also not spared with Stars and Forks and have once again confirmed the high culinary level in Ischgl.

Paznaun’s Alpine cheese is the region’s gourmet flagship and can be found on many menus. Paznaun’s Alpine cheese is made solely from raw milk suitable for hard cheese production and sourced from the valleys and meadows. The mature, light yellow cheese with peasized holes has a mildly aromatic to spiced flavour. Cheese lovers can sample this regional speciality and exceptional cheese delicacy after 6 weeks of maturing.
