HIKING

Whether a cosy themed walk or a challenging mountain tour. The Idalp at 2,320 m is the ideal starting point for walks of all kinds. Modern lift facilities transport visitors up the Idalp, high above Ischgl, where visitors can make their choice. An excursion to Samnaun in Switzerland is also possible or how about exploring a high ropes course?! Plus much more! A hiking guide featuring 80 tours across Paznaun and a compass map can be obtained from the tourist office! ISCHGL – IDALP ADVENTURE TRAIL This spectacular adventure trail leads from Ischgl to the Idalp (2,320 m). The three-hour walk leads along a 7.5 km long and laid footpath via three Alpine vegetation zones and across two impressive suspension bridges which extend across the Kitzloch gorge. For a faster journey to the Idalp, take the Silvrettabahn or Fimbabahn cable car (ascent free with the all-inclusive Silvretta Card). From here, the delightful ‘Vider Truja adventure park’ is just a 5 minute walk away. SUSPENSION BRIDGES Kitzloch and Bärenfalle are over 100 m long and tower an unbelievable 70 m above the Fimbabach. These two suspension bridges have been built exclusively for pedestrians and cross over the impressive Kitzloch gorge. Definitely not for the faint-hearted!

Hiking, Idalp Adventure Trail, Suspension Bridges

Thanks to its location at the heart of Paznaun, the former mountain farming village of Ischgl is the ideal place for hikers and sports enthusiasts. Adventurers, pleasure-seekers, families and mountain lodge fans will all find plenty of walking-based highlights to enjoy here!

Walk of Lyrics

HIGHLIGHT WALK OF LYRICS A new attraction has been added to the adventure trail and now includes some world stars of the music industry along with a fascinating landscape. The legendary concerts which take place on the Idalp stage emphasise Ischgl’s entertainment concept. International music stars can now be seen here in summer too as songs by Rihanna, Udo Jßrgens and Sting are played in a range of different settings. Away from the stage, in a forest by a wild brook, the songs by the stars are presented in a new and unique way. The focus is on the poetry of the songs which, at times, are presented gently in text format to highlight the lyricism of the words. A pictorial interpretation of the song text then follows as an acoustic sound experience.

11

ADVENTURE STAGE Schwarzwasser lake, Pardatscher lake Based on the motto of ‘Action – Speed – Challenge’, various adventure zones will be provided from the middle station to the Pardatschersee lake in the Fimbatal valley, featuring some impressive offers. The presentation points are fascinating and easily accessible (ascent via the Fimbabahn or Silvrettaseilbahn cable cars to the middle station) or can be reached via the adventure trail across the suspension bridges from Ischgl.

12

Pardatscher Lake With ‘Air Steps’, ‘Wood Lines’, ‘Float over Water’ and the ‘Lakeside Adventure’, Ischgl taps into the mood of the day and creates a dynamic group experience which, when paired with exciting challenges, creates an innovative experience at the heart of the Ischgl mountains.

13

‘VIDER TRUJA’ ADVENTURE PARK An easy trail leads from the top station of the Silvretta- or Fimbabahn gondola back down to the Vider Truja adventure park (only a few minutes’ walk) and attracts visitors to the mountains on sunny days with its BBQ area, bare foot trail and children’s play area. It is not just the younger guests who feel at home here and are fascinated by the delightfully designed ‘Vider Truja’ adventure park. In addition to the water mills, water play area, climbing equipment and water guidance system, there is also a reservoir and magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. To recharge your batteries, visit the Alpenhaus or Vider Alp which are just a few minutes’ walk away. You will find a barbecue spot at the Vider Truja park. 14

Biking BIKING This area is a tour paradise for bikers, nestled within the Silvrett, Samnaun and Verwall mountains. In addition to the classic tours, such as the journey to the Heidelberger Hütte, THE mountain biking destination in Paznaun, there is also plenty of endurance fun to enjoy. Free use of the cable car (incl. bike transport) offers access to an explosion of top quality trails. New: The new singletrail from the top station of the ‘Flimjochbahn‘ down to Idalp. A bike guide featuring over 30 tours across Paznaun and a map can be obtained from the tourist board! 19

VIA FERRATA GREITSPITZ A relatively short yet exposed, steep and rewarding fixed ropes course with modern safety devices. The route includes cable securing throughout and sufficient hand and foot grips. Both of the exposed steep sections offer an easier bypass and are therefore suitable for children with climbing experience and for less experienced climbers. Route: ascent via the Fimbabahn or Silvrettabahn and Flimjochbahn cable car. From the mountain station at 2,770 m, the route leads south-east to the end of the ski trail and from here along a well-marked steep path to the access point (blue markings). The access point is located in the foothills of the west ridge of the Greitspitz. From the Greitspitz (2,850 m) it follows a comfortable route back to the Idjochbahn mountain station.
