BRIDGES Parent Workshop for Primary and Secondary Parents/Carers on Thursday 15th October 6.00-7.00pm in the KS3 Hall You are invited to a workshop to find out more about our BRIDGES programme and how you can support your child in developing these key characteristics. Please inform the primary or secondary school office if you would like to attend.
European Languages Day – Friday 25th September We will be celebrating European Languages Day across the Academy. Each primary class has chosen a European country to represent for the day. During the course of the day the children will be introduced to their adopted country and learn some key vocabulary and some information about it. It would be great if the children could bring in any items at home that they may have about their class’s country and would like to share e.g. postcards, small souvenirs or information that they have researched already at home. The following countries have been chosen: Curie – Italy Maxwell – Greece Newton – Spain Britten – Portugal Fitzgerald – Germany Glennie - France
Uniform Information The Primary uniform can be purchased through the Khalsa Schoolwear website or can be bought at Khalsa Schoolwear shop in Bethnal Green. All Year 1 pupils will be expected to be wearing a blazer; this is still an optional item for the Reception children. Please speak to the staff in the primary reception if you have any queries. • We expect every child to be in full uniform every day with their top button done up • All coats must be plain black • Shoes must be plain black – no trainers. If you are not sure about the types of shoes that are part of our uniform policy, please ask. • Please label every item of clothing • One pair of plain stud earrings can be worn • Nail polish is not allowed • Jewellery is not permitted • Long hair for both boys and girls must be tied back. Hair decorations must be small and plain • Please provide your child with a water bottle every day and make sure it is labelled with their name (water only, no fruit juice). 4 INA Newsletter
