Recent events Our Key Club attended two events in the month of April. The first was the bowling fundraiser with Brooklyn Tech which took place Friday April 20th in Maple Lanes. Although there were some technical difficulties the event was still a blast filled with music, snacks, smack talk and gutters.
The other lucky event Edward R Murrow High School’s Key Club graced with her presence is the March of Babies! The walk started from Columbus Ave 62nd street, ended at Madison Ave 23rd and took roughly two hours to complete. March of babies t-shirts were given out at the event and I think I’m speaking for everyone when I say “I now have a new PJ top.”
Word From Your Editor... Now that the new board members are in office we are very excited and enthusiastic to make our mark in the community and in our school. Edward R. Murrow’s key club is fairly young; first created in 2008 and we haven’t had the same amount of time as other schools to establish a strong club. This is the main focus of our officers this term; to organize successful new events, persuade larger outcomes to walks and to create stronger bonds between club members. It is not enough that the officers put in effort to achieve these goals; we also need your cooperation as key clubbers. We hope to have a enjoyable and progressive year. -Iris Li
