The new programs and applications I have used during my course. Flickr. Flickr is very easy to use and to annotate photos of your work and other pieces you used. It has a fast upload rate and the ability to add posts, tags, notes and many others to your photos for all to see. It also has the ability to transfer the photos over to Blogger so you can upload your photo to both sites straight away. Blogger. Blogger is a easy programme to use and easy to understand, it allows you to put as many posts as you want onto the site for all to see, its layout options are very creative and useful as you have numerous options to choose from to personalize your blog from others, you can also view anyone else’s blog on the site with easeand see what other work people are doing which is similar to yours. Photoshop. Photoshop is a very detailed programme with a lot of benefits. It takes a while to pick up and be able to use the programme with easeand no errors, it does a very thorough job in editing photos and picking out specific parts of the photo, the disadvantagesare that the programme could make your computer very slow and could crash often causing you to lose work you have done, you have to keep saving work in order to keep it safe, however it is a very useful programme to have in media. Issuu.
Issuu is a programme that converts word and powerpoint documents into a flipbook which is then available to put onto your blogger for all to see with easeto flick through, instead of making it a PDFor a download. I had no issuesuploading this to my blog and the application ran smoothly for me so there was no problem. Da Font. Da Font offers thousands of fonts available for you to download and include in your work for your own use. It allows you to look through the different fonts and download the font with personal text to your liking, the only disadvantage is that they come with a white background which sometimes is an issue when having to take the backgrounds out constantly it can become time consuming depending on how many fonts you wish to use, however it was a very useful programme.
These are the new programmes I have began to use and learn in my media course, they are all very beneficial when doing my coursework and all of them have been very helpful when needed. I have used Photoshop the most out of all the five and without a doubt it has been the most helpful, everything I have done has had involvement with the use of Photoshop.
