Dromtarriffe Active Retired Celebrate 20 Years

Dromtarriffe Active Retired 20th Anniversary celebrations took place on Sunday 12th October 2025 at Dromtarriffe Parish Hall.

The occasion commenced with Holy Mass celebrated by Fr John O’Shea for members of the club. We remembered and prayed for past members who are no longer with us and have gone to their eternal home in heaven.

We then enjoyed a beautiful lunch. There was plenty of chat and stories shared as we remembered various trips and events that had taken place over the past 20 years including; visits to many destinations in Ireland and Europe for example Wexford, Belfast, Wicklow, Dáil Éireann, Scotland, Spain, Italy and most recently the European Parliament in Brussels. A slide show of the various trips was shown and brought back many happy memories.

The 20th Anniversary Cake was cut by Mary O’Sullivan who was the first Chairperson of Dromtarriffe Active Retired Club when it was formed in October 2025 and our current Chairperson Eilish Daly.

The day was a fitting tribute to those who set up Dromtarriffe Active Retired Club in 2005 and to all who joined and participated in activities and events since then.

We look forward to many more activities and trips in the future and new members are always welcome.
