The FLEC Flyer | April 16, 2010 | Week 35 POWERED BY I/OTRAK

The FLEC Flyer | April 16, 2010 | Week 35 Message from the Vice Principal . . . I sit at the arena watching as my team, the Orlando Magic competes against another team. Thousands of fans are present and they are here to root for the home team. There may be a few who are here to cheer the opposing team, but their voices are drowned by the supporting cries of the fans. The rivals are not heard and their scoring goes unnoticed. The Home Team fumbles at times, but it doesn’t matter. The fans only acknowledge its victory. It soars above the other team to the music and chanting of the admirers and it succeeds. As I watch, I’m reminded of the reason I’m here. I came to hear our FLEC choir sing the National Anthem. The children sing beautifully and our director once again rises with the success of his choir. The tired teachers applaud and care for our students and the parents abandon everything to join them. We are a great school. We are proud. We are grateful. We are not perfect, but we hear the voices of encouragement from parent conferences, we see the dedication of parents who transport their children to school on the wings of faith, we know that many are praying and cheering for our school. With sincere prayers and encouragement, we grow. We succeed. We thank you.

Blessings, Rose Thomas Vice Principal, Curriculum Know that the Lord, He is God. It is He who has made FLEC and not we ourselves. Our students are His People and the sheep of His pasture. Ps 100:3 (paraphrase)

DEVELOPMENT UPDATE Let’s try something different. I’ve been wondering about three things:

1. Does anyone read this weekly article about the new school? 2. Do you know what we are raising money for? 3. Do you agree or disagree with the building project? If you’re out there reading, let me know. WE CAN’T MAKE IT WITHOUT YOU OR YOUR INPUT. Thanks! Give me a call: Dan Tilstra, 269-208-1111 or email I’m always ready to listen.
