Legend of the White Rock When a young Cowichan Sea God fell in love with a mortal princess, both lovers were banished and forced to find a new land to call their home. The god threw a mighty rock across the ocean and declared wherever it landed to be their home. Perhaps the sea god was a lucky shot for the rock landed on the shore of one of the most beautiful areas of Canada. Located just 45 minutes south of Vancouver, White Rock contains breath taking scenery, a strong artistic community, a diverse array of shops, restaurants, and attractions, while continuing to hold the everlasting charm which our Sea God and his bride would have enjoyed.
