What separates you from other realtors in the area? Having lived in Weston for almost 30 years, I have an advantage of real product knowledge, as prior to being an agent I went through the whole gamut, from renting to buying to selling to building pre-construction. Being an established resident has its advantages, not only from a network aspect, but also by witnessing the growth of the community from its early days I was able to learn every niche in town. I have high expectations from those on my team as I’ve worked tirelessly to earn a stellar reputation, not just amongst our clientele but also amongst other agents; this is important as they enjoy working with us, which helps tremendously in the transaction process. Besides experience and knowledge, I think that the type of attention to detail in our marketing is what differentiates us from others.

What do you do differently that gives your clients an edge? Over the years, what has set us apart is our tremendous effort and exceptional attention to detail in preparing a home for the market; we spend countless hours making sure that every inch of space is maximized to its fullest potential. We implemented the staging of homes long before it became popular. We also showcase our listings with top-notch photography and were one of the first to start using drone photography on more “average priced” homes in Weston, not just on more luxury properties. Our extensive use of twilight photography is one of our trademarks. As a result, our listings have always stood out online, resulting in capturing the intrigue and interest of prospective buyers. Local people have often told me they know a Pick Team listing just by the quality of our photos.

What clients in particular do you specialize in assisting? While much of our business is representing sellers in the marketing of their homes, we actually do it all, from assisting corporate relocation executives to first-time homes buyers. More frequently now, as many of my peers are becoming empty-nesters, we’re working on the sale of their larger family homes to their new purchases as they embark on the next phase of their lives. The cycle of life continues with kids I knew from pre-school age in Weston now purchasing their own homes, so some of our focus is now also towards the next generation of home buyers—the millennials. A lot of that is done through our marketing on social media. Almost all of our business is personal referral from past clients and we are very grateful for the trust and confidence they’ve placed in us over the years.

What are some challenges your clients often deal with, and how do you solve them?

What separates your team from every other real estate group in South Florida let alone Weston?

RS: We’re heavy listing agents, and the great thing about that is that the buyers come right to us. Because our marketing is so well-orchestrated and consistent, whether you’re a $100,000 or a milliondollar client, you’re getting the same great marketing opportunities all of our clients enjoy. For our buyers, I provide a lot of data and information to ensure they make educated propositions and ensure it’s the best offer possible. We always let our clients know what we’re doing, and we’re always on and working. We let them know what’s going on and guide them through every step of the process. We love the game of real estate, and that’s why we’re so good at what we do.

RS: I get a lot of people coming to us from other agents. Unlike most realtors out there, we’re very direct, we don’t sugarcoat things. We come in and we help them identify their issues and provide the information or guidance they might need to reach their goals. We’ve been doing this a long time, and ultimately, customers that come to us are looking for experience and honesty, and that’s what we provide. One challenge is a lot of sellers can’t see a property through the buyer’s eyes, so we’re very straightforward in that regard. That way, rather than being stubborn, our clients can do what’s best to make the necessary changes to get their property sold. If I tell my client to do something, it’s no different than a doctor telling their patient what’s best for them.

DS: We have a very good network of people that help us, and we get a lot of respect from other agents that like to work with us. We’ve withstood the test of time, personally and professionally.
