Venue The INWA Convention 2011 venue, The Victory Services Club (VSC), is located in the heart of London near Hyde Park. The Victory Services Club was founded in 1907 and it is a prestigious Private Members Club for retired and serving members of the Armed Forces, located at Marble Arch in the heart of London's West End, a 2 minute walk from Oxford Street₁. Hyde Park is one of London's finest landscapes covering over 350 acres. It is one of the most famous royal parks in the city and is where we will conduct our practical sessions. King Henry VIII acquired Hyde Park from the monks of Westminster Abbey in 1536. He and his court were often to be seen on thundering steeds in the hunt for deer. Nowadays, the park has become a traditional place for Londoners and tourists and is also the location for mass demonstrations. There are several attractions inside the park, such as a variety of species of flora and fauna, the Serpentine Lido, which consists of a marked area open for bathing, popular in the summer months and a cafe serving refreshments, the Diana, Princess of Wales memorial and the Speakers' Corner, which is an area where open-air public speaking, debate and discussion are allowed. More information clicks at VSC and Hyde Park. ₁
