Bathtub Gin? It is said that during Prohibition in the US, bootleggers distilled gin illegally, mixing grain alcohol with flavourings (like juniper!) to disguise the taste, before topping up the tall bottles with water from a bathtub. Like gin, Laings has a long history. Since 1862, we have been a part of the North East and are now Scotland's largest, independent luxury kitchen, bathroom and bedroom retailer.

Copper in colour with a decent body Cascade and Centennial American Hops make this a proper IPA. Bright and fresh with a decent amount of bitterness.
Citrus IPA – IPA – 5% ABV
Pilsner – Lager – 4.5%
Medium bodied IPA backed with Citra hops, does exactly what is says. Pineapple and tropical fruits with enough malt to carry it through.
A classic Czech style Pilsner made using Saaz hops giving a light and crisp body with a gentle biscuit background.
Fallen – Stirlingshire, Scotland
Black Isle Brewery – Ross & Cromarty, Scotland. BEER 23 Trees – Citra Saison – 6.6% ABV

Aromas of citrus and tropical fruit with some spice and pine also. Pale straw in colour with good carbonation. Tropical fruit and a good malty body provides great balance.
Scotch Ale – Strong Ale – 6.8% ABV Clear dark copper in colour, tropical fruit and caramel on the nose leading to toffee, fruit cake and roasted malts. Very well balanced.

Slightly amber in colour with a lemongrass, lemon, grapefruit nose on the palate. Taste is dry, crisp, slightly bitter, straw with a little spiciness. Very drinkable!
Amarillo, Chinook and Simcoe from the USA work in harmony with New Zealand’s Nelson Sauvin to produce a punchbowl aroma of lemon, tangerine and gooseberry, followed by a balanced grapefruit bitterness.
Moose Mousse – Chocolate Milk Stout – 4.5% ABV
Baby Faced Assassin – IPA – 6.1% ABV
Velvety and smooth yet light and easy drinking. This chocolate milk stout is chock full of coca notes which allows it to be luxurious yet sessionable.
Brewed with 100% Citra hops that create aromas of mango, apricot, grapefruit & mandarin orange, along with a lasting, juicy, tropical fruit bitterness, the Baby-Faced Assassin is a deceptively drinkable India Pale Ale that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Be careful or it might sneak up on you!
Very Berry – Fruit Sour – 4.5% ABV Packed with a supergroup of seasonal berries, sweet notes of raspberry, blackberry and blackcurrant that balance off a puckering sour punch. If you are new to sour beers or looking to try something new this is a brilliant place to start.

Lots of citrus fruit and light floral malty notes on the nose which move to tropical fruits and pineapple on the palate.
This is a grapefruit pale ale with a lot of zesty lime and coriander.
Supersonic –Wheat Beer - 6.5% ABV This is a must try. My two favourite things combining here, Gin and Beer. A German style wheat beer that’s brewed using Gin botanicals. Aromas of juniper, lemons and kaffir limes lead to a full smooth body with more juniper and citrus notes. An open mind is required, not a stereotypical wheat beer by any means.
Pulp Cider - Halifax, England Blackcurrant – Fruit Cider – 4% ABV
CasaGheller Frizzante – Medium - 11% ABV
A wonderfully fruity cider with a crispness to cut through the sweetness that it provides.

Naturally fermented over the colder months of the year and letting wild yeast work its magic providing a proper scrumpy flavour! Its unfiltered, unpasteurised and conditioned in ex-spirit casks. A proper scrumpy but from Scotland!
Strawberry – 4% ABV Made with fresh Scottish Strawberries which are then had pressed in Thistly crosses apple presses. Strawberries totally dominate the aroma with a little zing of apples with balance out the sweetness.
Whisky cask – 6.9% ABV Having spent the last 6 months gentle maturing in Glen Moray whisky casks this is something a little special! Delightfully malty on the palate, providing some lovely dark spiced fruit notes while still having that refreshingly crisp apple crunch.
Traditional – 4.4% ABV A bright golden session cider is rich in aroma of ripe apples with a lovely soft palate which is refreshingly fruity. A real thirst quencher!
CasaGheller Rose Spumante – Dry – 11% ABV The perfect amount of sweetness in this wine provides an excellent balance to the bright strawberry and zesty freshness that this wine should offer. The perfectGIN balance between sweet fruit and sharp fruit.
Udny – Aberdeenshire Teasmith – Dry Gin – 40% ABV Another new product and very local again too! From Udny Green, launching at the tail end of last year they have been full steam ahead since. It’s a lovely classic style of gin with a modern aromatic twist to it. Goes very well with our brand new tonic water!
Jindea – Tea infused Gin – 40% ABV
Made using single estate, first flush Darjeeling (First Spring harvest) of the Himalayan Black Tea which to tea lovers is known as the “Champagne of Tea” leads to create a citrus orientated gin with subtle aromatic spice which hints of peaches and apricots.
Colonsay – Scotland
-------------------------------------------------Aberdeen – Scotland
Another tiny batch product all the way from the Island of Colonsay on the West Coast. It uses 6 hand foraged Colonsay botanicals along with another 10 classic gin botanicals to create this incredibly smooth and classic London dry style gin.
Porters – Dry Gin - 41.5% ABV
The modern take on a classic style makes for the perfect starting point and a wonderful celebration of something local. The main stand out flavour of Porters is Budda’s Hand a dried citrus fruit which gives the gin a crisp citrus element backed up by a solid juniper body.
Harrington – England
Wild Island Gin – Dry Gin – 43.7% ABV

Shetland Reel – Ocean Sent – 49% ABV Released in 2015, Ocean Sent uses native Bladderwrack seaweed from the Shetland Coast line to help create this wonderfully fresh London Dry style of gin.
Fabulous rhubarb extract (with royal connections!) is combined with our Harrington dry gin & just enough sugar to balance the acidity. The result is a rumbustious gin with a big burst of rhubarb which is a glory on its own & beautiful with the Summerhouse Drinks Raspberry Lemonade.
