2. In-Transit: Buffalo to Detroit via Canada Although U.S.-Canada-U.S. in-transit routings originate in the U.S., they are relevant to this study because goods must cross the border from Canada to the U.S. One organization estimated that 800 trailers per month perform the Buffalo-Detroit or similar trip. It is estimated that the trip takes approximately 7 hours via only the U.S. or 4 hours through Canada. Further to this, the state of Ohio has placed a weight load limit per axle that results in most trailers only being filled to 他 capacity.
