We all have in close memory the Yokohama ISW 2011 Congress, so successfully run by the ISS/SIC together with the local organizers, as the first International Conference that took place in Japan after the Tsunami and Fukushima disaster. We are grateful to everybody who made this happen, and especially to our many faithful members who attended and completed the outlined program. To run the meeting was crucially important for the ISS and made it possible for our organization to help and pay respect to our Japanese colleagues and the Japanese people in a difficult situation. Although the Yokohama Congress is less than a year ago, we now have before us an equally important challenge when we prepare for a successful ISW 2013 Congress in Helsinki. We should try to reach even higher attendance in Helsinki, and do all we can to even increase the ISS membership till this meeting. For this purpose we want the ISS to take an increasing burUspensky Orthodox Cathedral, Helsinki, completed in 1868
