Litwa w tym roku obchodzi stulecie odzyskania państwowości. Jest to jubileuszowy rok również dla Międzynarodowych Bałtyckich Targów Jubilerskich Amber Trip, które odbyły się po raz 15-sty. Tegoroczne Targi Amber Trip, odbyły się w dniach 14–17 marca w Wilnie, w największym w krajach bałtyckich centrum targowo-konferencyjnym Litexpo (zajęły powierzchnię około 3,8 tys. m kw. (w 2017 - 2,5 tys. m kw.). Przykuły szczególną uwagę nie tylko ze względu na ilość wystawców czy coroczny konkurs sztuki jubilerskiej, ale również na po raz pierwszy zorganizowaną strefę autorskich wyrobów jubilerskich, gdzie 22 projektantów z Litwy, Węgier, Polski, Izraela i Hiszpanii zaprezentowało swoje prace oraz najnowsze trendy jubilerskie. Jubileuszowe targi przyciągnęły najważniejszych przedstawicieli branży bursztynniczej i jubilerskiej. W tym roku wystawiło się ponad 200 wystawców z krajów bałtyckich, Polski, Turcji, Włoch, Ukrainy, Rosji, USA, Indii oraz innych państw. Odwiedziło ich ponad 500 kupców VIP (hurtowników, specjalistów ze środowisk muzealnych, kolekcjonerów) z Europy, Australii, Chin, Indii, Arabii Saudyjskiej, Zjednoczonych Emiratów Arabskich, Turcji, USA oraz innych krajów. Organizator Targów Giedrius Guntorius zaznaczał, że w tym roku szczególne miejsce zajęły na nich litewskie, polskie, ukraińskie i chińskie przedsiębiorstwa tworzące klastry lub inne organizacje, które wybrały targi Amber Trip jako ważną platformę informacji i transakcji, aby zdobyć rynek i wyrazić swoje cele. Litewscy producenci biżuterii stawiają sobie za zadanie promocję bursztynu oraz jego eksport na zagraniczne rynki sprzedając swoje produkty pod marką „Amber Made In Lithuania”. Temat konkursu sztuki jubilerskiej Nic do oclenia inspirowany był setną rocznicą odzyskania państwowości przez Litwę. W konkursie wzięło udział ponad 100 artystów z Litwy, Peru, Iranu, Niemiec, Polski, Łotwy, Rosji i Wielkiej Brytanii. Po zakończeniu konkursu dzieła uczestników wyruszą w drogę i zostaną zaprezentowane na różnych targach jubilerskich w Europie, w tym na festiwalu sztuki złotniczej w Legnicy. Jak co roku, na targach nie zabrakło seminariów i spotkań, podczas których z przedstawicielami innych krajów omawiano aktualne kwestie związane z przemysłem bursztynniczym i jubilerskim. Jedna z imprez została poświęcona współpracy Litwy i Białorusi w zakresie probierstwa i handlu wyrobami jubilerskimi, kolejne dotyczyły zagadnień gemmologicznych oraz współpracy z Kombinatem Bursztynowym w celu powołania giełdy bursztynu w Wilnie. Podczas targów jubileusz 55 lat w branży obchodził Soren Fehrn, wieloletni właściciel najbardziej znanej marki sklepów z biżuterią bursztynową z Danii House of Amber. Od 2004 wraz z żoną Vilią Fehrn zaangażowany w inną markę związaną z bursztynem – Bernsteinladen, założoną w 1884 roku w Gdańsku, w latach 30 XX wieku przeniesioną do Monachium, która ma w tej chwili sklepy na całym świecie, w tym muzeum bursztynu w Tajpej. Na kameralną imprezę zaproszeni byli najważniejsi partnerzy Sorena i Villi Fehrnów.
This year Lithuania is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the restoration of statehood. It is Amber Trip International Baltic jewellery show is also celebrated an anniversary, hosting the exhibition for already the 15th time. This year the Amber Trip fair was held on 14-17 March in Vilnius, in Litexpo - the largest fair and conference center in the Baltic States (covered an area of about 3.8 thousand sq m (in 2017 - 2.5 thousand sq m). The fair attracted special attention not only because of the number of exhibitors or the annual jewellery art competition, but also for the first time an organized zone of designers jewelery - where 22 designers from Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Israel and Spain presented their works and the latest jewellery trends. The jubilee exhibition attracted the most important representatives of the amber and jewellery industry. This year, more than 200 exhibitors from the Baltic countries, Poland, Turkey, Italy, Ukraine, Russia, USA, India and other countries were exhibited. Over 500 VIP buyers (wholesalers, specialists from museum, collectors) have visited them from Europe, Australia, China, India, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey, USA and other countries. The organizer of the fair Giedrius Guntorius pointed out, that this year a special place was taken by Lithuanian, Polish, Ukrainian and Chinese enterprises creating clusters or other organizations that chose the Amber Trip as an important information and transaction platform to conquer market and express their goals. Lithuanian amber jewellery producers aim to promote amber and export it to foreign markets by selling their products under "Amber Made In Lithuania" brand. The theme of the jewellery competition Nothing to declare was inspired by the 100 th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuanian statehood. The competition was participated by over 100 artists from Lithuania, Peru, Iran, Germany, Poland, Latvia, Russia and the United Kingdom. After the fair, the participants' works will be presented at various jewellery fairs in Europe, including the Silver Festival in Legnica. As every year, featured numerous seminars and meetings, during which representatives of other countries discussed current issues related to the amber and jewellery industry. One of the events was devoted to the cooperation between Lithuania and Belarus in the field of testing and jewellery trade. Others related to gemmological issues and cooperation with the Amber Combine about establishing an amber exchange in Vilnius. During the fair, the 55th anniversary in the industry was celebrated by Soren Fehrn, a long-time owner of the most well-known brand of amber jewellery stores from the Denmark House of Amber. From 2004, together with his wife Vilia Fehrn, he was involved in another brand related to amber - Bernsteinladen, founded in 1884 in Gdańsk, in the 1930s transferred to Munich, which currently has stores all over the world, including the Amber Museum in Taipei.
