In collaboration with Nokia we set out to reinvent nokia-ness. Todays technology allows you to be in contact with a huge number people, some more close than others. We decided to focus on the exclusive communication between two people, in a relationship. With a agenda to bring tangibility, intimacy and meaningfulness in to the connection. In our research we tried to map the needs, expectations and rhymes of relationship. Trying to understand people needs, and how the may change over time.

“A nonverbal sensorial connection between two people separated by distance�

Concept and Video

The main idea of the concept is to bring people separated by distance closer. The Nokia Two communicates directly to the senses, via a direct connection with no storage, to replicate face to face interaction. Two allows the user to create a holistic felling of the person that is closets to you.

The Gekko Plant nursing robot concept; “A semi-automatic robot platform that can adjust to different terrain that are difficult for humans to work in, inspired by the movement of animals and people”

Method and Process 2

With a brief introduction to plant nursing robots at robocluster. We started our research and found that places with many obstacles and great inclination are being maintained manually, which puts great strain on the worker. We decided to address the problem, by creating a flexible robot to with offset in the terrain it had to work in. We worked in the areas, with the machines that exist today, using our experiences as a offset for a rapid sketching process.

The Gekko

Plant nursing robot concept; “A semi-automatic robot platform that can adjust to different terrain that are difficult for humans to work in, inspired by the movement of animals and people�

Concept and Video The Gekko adapts the to varies terrain with help from four independent adjustable legs, this makes the gravity point of the robot very low, allowing it to operate on steep surfaces. A gyroscope is providing the Gekko with its sense of balance. The gyroscope is very visible so people can predict the movement of the Gekko. It is also possible to touch the Gyroscope, and thereby upsetting the balance of the robot, This will give the Gekko a animal like character.

The project was done over a four week period in collaboration with the author of the tv-format. A big part of the process was learning how to use aftereffect, and learning motion graphics. In the process we made lots of sketches and storyboards to try out different visual expressions. In our final concept we worked with green screen, stop motion, illustration, among others. In addition to the intro sequence we mad promotion campaign material, web site and event.

Concept and Video Our concept plays with the barrier between the polished surface and the sub-cultures in the environment that surrounds us. The intro sequence is made in a collage style, with

elements of illustration, stop motion and 2d animation, placed in a 3d environment.

Children and Energy A project that with color, fun and games makes energy tangible fore children

Method and Process

We wanted to work with awareness of energy, and decided to target children the consumer of tomorrow. Electricity very intangible, had hard to understand. In our research we saw that children sees it as some sort of magic that is free, and eternal. We wanted to create a system, with use of the way children play and interact, that would make electricity consumption easy to grasp for children.

Final Concept The core of our final concept, is that it takes energy to make energy. The kids had to perform different activities for a surden amount of time, to earn a special energy token that could be used to by time on the playstation or radio. One token could be earned everyday, as a metaphor of the depletion of energy.

Ni Kroner

A transparent multiplayer music installation on three flors

Method and Music

We wanted to build an engaging installation for multiple users, it was build to a excorbition at kolding School of design. With offset in things at hand we made “Ni-kroner�, named after the value of the switches that was made from coins.

Ni Kroner

A transparent multiplayer music installation on three flors

Music and movie

We set up 18 switches on three floors of a hallway attached to a old keyboard. Some of the switches made sound, others controlled pitchbend and volumen. The separation of the switches made the players talk to each other, dicussing how to create something cool.

Method and Process The cities get more and more grey, we dicided to adress this problem by adding the element of surprise and democracy to the city. in this 5 week project we had to preform a lot of different tasks as we dicided to build a full scale model of the final concept. We did a lot of experiments with lights, electronics, processing/ adriunocode, rescearch as well as trying out new materials for the building process.

RG-Bench

Concept and Movie Our final concept, was a bench that would change color if the user are wearing red, green or blue. A webcam mounted in the bench tracks the color, of the clothes worn by the user, if the colors a either red, green or blue the bench responds by changeing to that color. We choose to stick with tree colors, because it would make the reaction seam more exclusive when it happened.

Symbio

A service that allows you to access all services regarding you e-car in one place, and thereby providing an information platform- that will simplify being a carowner.

Method and process Together with the biggest energy company in Denmark, and CIID, we devolped a service around the electric car, to help ease the implementation. In our rescearch we identefyed diffenrent problem areas. We dicided to focus on the usabilty of the car, by focusing on the carkey and the way that it could act as an extention of the car.

The interface gives you the ability too see all expenses in realtime, convertet to the currency of your choice. The information include energy consumption, parking, insurance, tax-fees a sort of jounal of the life of the car. This can come in handy when talking to car professionals ex. mechanics. A another function is a countdown of departure that the car calculates based on neewsfeeds from the current trafficsituation, this will avoid stressfull mornings.

Around the World in 80 Meals

An exhibition concept about peobles lifestyles around the world, with offset in the dinner/meal situation. That creates a context that allows the visitor to relate to the content, theirby triggering their curiosity towards the museum

Method and process

In the process of this project, we had to fly to london to talk with a curator from the british museum. In addition, we made street interveiw, observation, dokumentation. A big inspiration in the rescearchfase, was the visits to peoples homes, were dinner and eating rituals were observed and dokumentet.


Around the World in 80 Meals

An exhibition concept about peobles lifestyles around the world, with offset in the dinner/meal situation. That creates a context that allows the visitor to relate to the content, theirby triggering their curiosity towards the museum

Concept and movie A photographer and a journalist will travel around the world visiting people having dinner with them, having the responsibility of creating the exhibitions content. They will document their experiences with pictures/ sound and text. To make consistency in the exhibition the next step on their journey is �dictated� by the previous. The documentation is send to the museum, where interactive browser tables will be set up, so that the visitors can explore the material. In addition the visitors will be able to upload photos of their own. The Dinner/meal situation are familiar to everyone, this will make the exhibition engaging and relatable to the visitor.
