Name data that’s not properly organized into its component parts (title, first name, initial, last name and suffix) is difficult, if not impossible, to use for variable messaging campaigns. And, nothing ruins a brilliantly planned campaign faster than poorly formatted personal data! The same issues occur with address data. Street names may not be properly separated from cities, provinces, and postal codes. Unit numbers and street numbers are often inconsistently formatted.

Address Verification and Correction (AVC)

Ensure your contact data contains complete and accurate address information with Interact Direct’s Address Verification and Correction (AVC) service.
Your contact file is cross-referenced with Canada Post’s 14 million record master database of all Canadian addresses. The address data on your file is standardized to Canada Post’s official format and validated to ensure you have the correct street name and number, city, province, and postal code. Corrections are made automatically when the proper address is found. Accurate addresses provide you with several benefits including: faster and more successful mail delivery, reduced postage costs, reduced returned mail processing work, and higher match results for other data processing hygiene services like NCOA and merge/purge.
National Change of Address (NCOA)
Lost: 20% of your customers! Fortunately, we know where they went.
It’s a startling statistic, but it’s true. One in five, or 20% of Canadian’s move every year. Thankfully, Interact Direct has the National Change of Address (NCOA) database to help you keep track.
Your contact file is cross-referenced with Interact Direct’s NCOA database that which is updated monthly by Canada Post. We maintain a 3-year history of movers including prior and current addresses. When a match occurs between your contact file and the NCOA database, your file is updated with the new address.
