For the 26th year of continuous effort, I would like to congratulate Malaysia Visitors Guide for producing yet another edition of tourism guidebook. I am glad that the guidebook has always assisted our guests to explore the bests of Malaysia. The tourism industry in Malaysia is becoming prominent and plays an important role as a catalyst in the country's economic growth. In 2013, the tourism and culture industry registered 25.7 million tourist arrivals and RM65.4 billion in receipts, making the tourism industry in Malaysia the second largest foreign exchange earner and the sixth highest contributor to the country's Gross National Income (GNI).

In conjunction with the Malaysia Year of Festivals 2015, we are offering various unique cultural activities and festivals throughout the year to attract more tourists to Malaysia and spur them to stay longer to shop and travel in Malaysia.
