During the communist time in Wroclaw, a group of protestant called Orange Alternative, were using humor and satire to oppose the communist regime. The group dressed up as gnomes or painted pictures of them over government propaganda and in this peaceful and extremely effecti ve way they fought with communist regime. To represent that movement in 2001 a monument of a dwarf (best known as papa dwarf) was placed in Swidn icka Street. Now, new dwarfs arrive every year populating more and more streets in Wroclaw. Currently in the city you can find around 300 dwarfs . If you have any trouble finding them, there are available maps of dwarfs locatio ns in tourist information centers.
Can you find them all?
