Miles of unspoiled beaches await beachcombers and children at play, while the surf beckons surfers, divers and fishermen to test the water! Vero Beach is known for its abundance of culture with museums, theatres, and numerous art galleries to enjoy. And there’s shopping for every taste, from the upscale beach shops to the outlet mall.

One Week Make sure you have all the marriage documents you need. Pick up all the wedding attire. Make sure everything fits. Give the final guest list to your caterer and to the reception site. An Indian River Wedding Story When Heidi Reiner and Thomas Reed decided to tie the knot they wanted something very special. “We lived in Orlando but our hearts were at the beach” explained Heidi. “So we started looking for somewhere close by that we could hold our dream wedding. We had previously attended a wedding of a friend at Vero Beach Hotel and Spa and we were very impressed. So after consulting with the hotel wedding planner we decided that it was the place for us!” About 115 friends and family attended the beachside wedding and reception and at least half of them stayed on the property for a mini vacation. “Having a destination wedding was so easy” continued Heidi. The wedding planner at the hotel handled everything from the flowers supplied by Pink Pelican in Sebastian to the reception catered by their own restaurant, Cobalt. All we had to do was show up!” The Reeds took their vows on the patio with the vast Atlantic Ocean as their backdrop, then partied with family and friends in the private reception hall! They now reside in Maryland but they’ll never forget their fantasy wedding in Vero Beach! Photography by Vitalic Photo

h brides-to-be, let’s face it. Choosing the right style and color palette can make or break a wedding. It’s the single factor that unifies your big day, from flowers and dresses to centerpieces and décor. Whether you’re a style maven or style-challenged, here are key points to keep in mind when selecting color and style options – because no couple wants their wedding to look as if a crayon box exploded in the room. Most couples have an idea of what they want their wedding to look like, but they don’t know where to start. First, decide if your wedding will be classic, contemporary or unconventional. Don’t forget, your wedding should be unique to you and your future husband. Think of themes that suit your style. Consider colors, patterns and symbols that are meaningful to you. Something as simple as a painting or throw pillow could inspire your entire wedding theme. Once you’ve nailed down your style, you can think of creative ways to tie in your theme. It helps to make a list of wedding elements that could display your style, including vases, invitations, Save the Dates, lighting, flowers and so much more. Tip from a planner: Don’t be afraid to think of outside-the-box ideas, because they may lead to an unforgettable wedding. The biggest mistake couples can make when planning their wedding is to borrow ideas that don’t connect with them in some way. Just because something looked cute at your best friend’s wedding doesn’t mean it’s the right fit for you. The best weddings are not the ones that come with hefty price tags and extravagant receptions. A wedding where guests enjoy attending is crucial; they should walk into your ceremony and reception and recognize you. Your wedding style will influence a lot of planning decisions. It can help you determine the right venue, inspire decorations and favors, and even guide the bride when buying her wedding dress. Without a doubt, having a wedding style will help any couple to stay a little more focused in their wedding searches. If you’re stumped when it comes to the planning process, there are many outlets you can look to for guidance. Working with a planner can be the critical component when trying to plan a wedding that expresses who you are. I love to hear the individual stories from brides-to-be. It’s true; every love story is beautiful. The big day should reflect just how beautiful yours is.
