travellers inn NEW GASTRO STYLE PUB

On February 18th 2018 at 14.12 hours a major fire broke out at the Travellers inn at junction 30 on the A55. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt but the kitchen was completely destroyed and the whole building was severely smoke damaged. The owner Doug Gelder whilst recovering from injuries caused by the fire made the decision to radically transform the main dining area and toilet facilities. The business was well known for its Sunday carvery however to be able to offer what people are looking for when dining it was recognised

that substantial investment was needed. So the transformation got under way with local tradesmen brought in to carry out the work. Exactly 6 months after the tragic fire the building reopened and since then has gone from strength to strength with people now enjoying the new dining and bar environment. All tradesman who worked on the project are highly recommended, especially Leyton Cotton, the main contractor.

this is now only served on a Sunday. The new look pub is open from 12 Tuesday to Saturday offering a wide selection of food from lite bites, traditional and a few unique specials, all home cooked where we are sure something will tickle your taste buds. The carvery itself is served on a Sunday from 11am till 7 pm with a great choice of meats and veg. Take a look at a few of the pictures showing the new look and hopefully we will see you soon.

The travellers inn has gone through a major transformation and the doors are now open for the new gastro style pub, previously a carvery destination

Also every Wednesday we run a few specials at just ÂŁ8.00, This could be as a example Lamb,Steak, fish always something different.
