frequency (ELF), radio frequency or microwave energy into the brain, causing the temporal lobes to produce powerful hallucinatory images. These, and seismic energies and outgassing, will be discussed in more detail in later chapters.

Earlier I explained how leys were formed from standing stones situated on 'hot spots' directly above at least two veins of water crossing underground at different depths. Energy from a vein, fissure or pipe, is emitted vertically to the surface. There are also two other waves, at an angle of 45째 on each side, which together form three parallel lines on the surface, down the length of the vein. The centre line is the centre of the interconnecting spirals and the width of the spirals is determined by the outside lines. The spirals may be healthy (white spirals) or unhealthy (black spirals), depending upon the subterranean rock and other factors. The distance from the centre line directly above the water to the outer parallel is the same as the depth of the vein (see Figure 61). This is used by water diviners to gauge the depth of subterranean water sources.

When some types of ley comprising individual vertical waves (over-grounds) encounter the outside of such a spiral, they automatically tune into its centre, giving a powerful 'hot spot'. A few decades ago, these over-grounds were mainly natural and the spirals were comparatively weak, but in this modern age we have 'artificial leys' from other sources: nuclear submarines and missile stores, radar stations, microwave towers, television repeater stations, electric sub stations and power station generators, for example. In addition, we have an increasing amount of disturbed Earth energies from quarrying, deep mining and in particular open-cast coalmining (oil drilling may also be bad, judging from a conversation with an oil-rig employee). These activities create micro-seisms and draw unhealthy sub-surface Earth currents to the surface and on their journey across country to eventually earth themselves, perhaps in a quarry, they focus on the centre of black spirals. Basically, the more electricity we use and the more we disturb the planet, the more powerful these telluric spirals, both black and white, become.

The centre wave is the centre of a series of overlapping spirals whose width is determined by the two outside waves. Incoming leys (arrows from right of illustration) of vertical waves of energy are automatically drawn into the centre of the spirals (also known as vortices). In this illustration the spirals are clockwise from the centre, showing that they are malevolent, not conducive to health. Spirals such as these can occur anywhere in a house, as a house itself has little effect on the energies from subterranean sources. The vertical waves of energy from the ley, however, will not pass through glass windows or mirrors, ceramic tiles in kitchens and bathrooms (although they will pass between the tiles). Natural Earth energies such as these seem to be part of poltergeist phenomena, demonic attack and various illnesses.
