What's a snack?
- A snack is a small amount of food eaten between meals. -It's a everyday meal that is necessary to have a balanced and healthy life.
How should be a healthy snack? A lunch box should have: Energetics: carbohydrates (grains, cereals...)
Trainers: proteins (meat, dairy products, eggs...)
Regulators: fruits and vegetables.
Liquids: water and natural drinks.
Why is important to have snacks?
- It provides energy to play and study. - It must be easy to prepare and quick to consume. - Prevent overeating at mealtimes. - Remember: It does not replace breakfast or lunch.
How to prepare snacks for school? Here we have some examples for you to prepare healthy snacks for your kids to go to the school.
A ham sandwich with lettuce, tomatoe and cheese. An apple. You can also add a natural juice.
A pancake with some fruits. - When you decorate the snacks of your kid is easier for him/her to eat them, because it call their attention.
Fruit pizza. You can combine different kind of fruits. It's a fast and easy option to eat healthy.
