MSC – Marine Stewardship Council The MSC’s fishery certification program and seafood eco-label recognise and reward sustainable fishing. They are a global organisation working with fisheries, seafood companies, scientists, conservation groups and the public to promote the best environmental choice in seafood. They have developed standards for sustainable fishing and seafood traceability. The MSC meets the highest benchmarks for credible certification and eco-labelling programs, including the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation guidelines and the ISEAL Code of Good Practice. We have a wide variety of MSC accredited fresh and frozen fish and seafood to meet all your needs from shellfish to prawns; fillets, battered and smoked fish to children’s and prepared products. Fish is still one of the most important sections of our business and we have knowledgeable staff that buy and sell fresh fish from many markets in the UK including Bideford, Looe, Newlyn but we also buy fish from all over the world, including Greece, Turkey, Holland, France and the Far East. Here at Charles Saunders we have skilled fish mongers who work through the night preparing your fish to your exact requirements e.g. gutted, filleted, skinned, boned, etc. We also have holding tanks and keep live crab and lobsters 52 weeks of the year.
