lushed with the success of Cocktail, Saif Ali Khan, the producer-actor of the film announced in an interview that he had signed Hollywood beauty and Oscar Award winning actress Natalie Portman for his upcoming project. He even went on to mention the film's details saying it would be a rom com. When the news traveled to California at Natalie Portman's abode, she got hugely annoyed and threatened to sue Saif Ali Khan. She talked with her attorneys (as per reports) to take legal action against the Bollywood star who, she said, is making false statements whereas he has neither approached her nor signed her for any movie. As soon as Saif heard this, he instantly came to the media to tell that it was just a joke. He even said he had started making stories to entertain himself (which was why he cracked this joke!).

eepika Padukone is currently single and has no plans to mingle anytime soon. However, the Bangalore beauty is very clear about the kind of man she would want to share her life with, in the future. The 26-year-old actress is not ready to get hitched for the second time after her much talked about break up with Ranbir Kapoor. So what's Deepika's idea of a perfect man? Says Deepy to a popular tabloid, "I've reached a stage where there's no man in my life, and I'm not looking for one. But when I do, I know that I just want something basic and simple: a regular guy with a regular job, who I can come home to. Men who are quietly confident are way more attractive than guys who try too hard." Talking about how her life has changed since her initial days in the film industry, Deepika says her life right now is like a dream and she loves what she's doing.

WITHOUT HEROINE

kshay Kumar starts shooting for his next home production, Boss, on Amitabh Bachchan's birthday to pay tribute to the veteran. Just as Amitabh Bachchan turns 70 on October 11, Akshay Kumar will start the shooting for Boss. It's Akshay's way of honoring the Big B. He plays a kind-hearted gangster, much like Amitabh's role in Agneepath. Says the source, `This is Akshay's way of paying his respects to Amitabh. It also happens to be the birthdays of the director Tony d'Souza and of the film's other male lead actor, Ronit Roy.` For the first time, in Akshay's career, there will be no leading lady opposite him in Boss. Says a source close to Akshay, `It was a conscious decision to keep Akshay's character single. Akshay convinced his director Tony that going solo will make the character mysterious, sinister and sympathetic. So the heroine's role was scrapped. But the film will have a young romantic pair, played by two newcomers.`
