Class III elastics

• Class III elastics are exact opposite of the class II’s. • They extended from upper molar to the lower cuspid. • It is used in the treatment of CL III malocclusions. • In some CL II cases also it is used to relieve edge relationship of the anteriors. • It is attached from the maxillary molar to mandibular lateral incisor or canine. • They promote extrusion of upper posterior teeth and upper anteriors, along with lingual tipping of the lower anteriors.
