All the hard work would not have been possible without the patronization and support of you, dear members. I would like to thank the erstwhile team led by Dr. Ram Buxani and Sunil Sawlani along with their Executive Committee members of Vikram Shroff, Harish Pawani, Sunil Singh, Deepak Jethwani, Khushi Katwani and Tanvir Kanji who have worked hard and given in a lot of their time to better our Club. It is encouraging to see the younger generation participate in the running of our institute. After Sunil Singh & Siddharth Balachandran serving as Chairmen a couple of years ago and Sunil Sawlani as Vice Chairman in the outgoing committee, it gives me great joy to have for the first time in the 51 year history of the Club, a lady vice chairperson, Mrs. Reena Kamlesh Bhatia. Reena has extensive experience in social work and joining her is an exciting team of new Committee members who will bring with them a new synergy and dynamism in the functioning of the Club. I look forward to your support and suggestions and will strive to make India Club more entertaining through increased activities.

Valentine’s day

India Club My first visit to India Club dates back to 1977, when the club activities were carried out from a few porta cabins where members could sit and watch new Indian movies week after week and enjoy Indian cuisine. It is amazing to see phenomenal growth to set up the most modern facilities in the Club year after year. What one sees in our Club today is, that we can, with pride say to our other friends that our Club is one of the finest Indian Club compared to any other Indian club in the world . The Club caters to the members with state of the art sports facilities and a wide variety of other activities of International Standards at affordable prices. The dedicated team of efficient, well trained and experienced staff headed by an energetic GM constantly work under the overall guidance of the Committee and the Board of Trustees . Their efforts are put in all round the year to come out with unique and innovative events to keep the club lively and a place which provides "Home away from Home" for the Indian Community members in U.A.E. In the Club one feels that the energy levels are high and provide an excellent platform to socialize with fellow members and do networking . Member's families with children & grandchildren benefit from various programs the Club arranges during cultural festival days as also other interesting classes for children and elders alike and not to forget a variety of "food festivals " that are being arranged to attract participation of all regions and all the members feel proud to entertain their International & national guests at the Club as the facilities are comparable to any 5 star restaurants. It is no wonder that the Club annual day is celebrated by all with a lot of joy, fun and entertainment for members of all ages. I take this opportunity to convey my very best wishes and heartiest congratulations to the Club Management for completing yet one more successful year and wish them many more eventful years to come.

It was quite an evening this 14 Feb 2015 with a wonderful set of people in the comfortable surroundings of the Crystal Lounge. With Mario belting out one romantic and melodious song after another it was an evening where couples danced away reliving their lovely memories while creating new ones. With an excellent array of starters and main course coupled with bubbly it was quite a gastronomic delight as well. The ambience created with apt surroundings and rose(s) went a long way in creating an atmosphere filled with love. The attentive but non-intrusive service by the staff made sure everything worked clockwise. Finally, the lively couples and families along with a charming hostess danced away to make it a truly memorable Valentines night.

India Club Food Mela It was a pleasure participating in “India Club Food Mela”. Though we have always made it a point to participate as a guest/visitor, this is the first time we have participated by putting up a stall. As mentioned during preparation meetings, the objective of the event is to have fun, we did have lots of fun. The climate was very good for families to come and have fun. It was a great honour for us to have the Consul General Of India visit our stall and taste the food prepared by us. We were thrilled when we received compliments for our efforts and came out as second runner up. It was also very interesting to visit and get an exposure to beautiful and colourful stalls with tasty food put up by our friends. Actually everyone was a winner. We would like to thank the organisers for providing us the opportunity to participate in this wonderful event and suggest that we should have this event at least twice a year.

SNF Annual Sports Meet

For the 6th consecutive year, we were glad to host the Annual Sports meet of the SNF (Special Needs Future Development Centre). The joy on the faces of these special kids participating and getting trophies is a sight so delightful that we at the Club along with the parents of these kids relish it… We had over 150 guests for this event which was held on February 14, 2015.

As always, we look forward to welcoming members to utilize the recreational and dining facilities at the Club… 34 India Club
