TRAVEL Salto Angel (Andělův vodopád) nazvaný podle svého objevitele Jimmyho Angela, který jej poprvé (1935) vyfotografoval z letadla při snaze najít zlato na stolové hoře Auyán tepui (Ďáblova hora). Při pokusu přistát na vrcholu hory došlo ke zničení letadla a Angel se svojí ženou a společníkem bojovali 14 dní, než se jim z hory podařilo sestoupit. Vodopád se svojí výškou 979 m je nejvyšším vodopádem světa. Angel Falls named after Jimmy Angel who discovered them. He took the first photo of the falls from an airplane in 1935 when he was trying to find gold on Auyán tepui. Their attempt to land on the top of the mountain failed and their aircraft was destroyed. Angel, his wife, and their companion, had struggled for 14 days before they managed to descend the mountain. The water fall is 979 m tall, which makes it the highest waterfall in the world.
