Exercise 7: AC impedance measurements Series circuit; AC impedance Connect a 1 kohm resistor in series with a ca. 10 nF capacitor. Connect this circuit to the AC generator at an output voltage of 1 volt. For frequencies of 1 kHz, 10 kHz, and 100 kHz, calculate the real and imaginary parts as well as the total impedance |Z| and the phase angle of the impedance. Then verify the parameters using an impedance spectrometer. Be sure to set the spectrometer to provide series R. Finally, calculate the (resonance) frequency at which the phase angle is 45째. Parallel circuit; AC admittance Connect a 1 kohm resistor in parallel with a ca. 10 nF capacitor. Connect this circuit to the AC generator at an output voltage of 1 volt. For frequencies of 1 kHz, 10 kHz, and 100 kHz, calculate the real and imaginary parts as well as the total admittance |Y| and the phase angle of the admittance. Then verify the parameters using an impedance spectrometer. Finally, calculate the (resonance) frequency at which the phase angle is 45째. Frequency G calc
