October 1 - November 2: Guilford

Bishop’s Orchards Fall Festival, Bishop’s Main Orchard, 480 New England Road, Guilford. Enjoy apple picking, corn maze, activity area, wagon rides, cider, and more — this year, all infused with a special nod to the state’s most iconic food …stay tuned for more, this year’s Fall Festival is one you knead to experience. 9am – 6pm

October 1-31: East Hampton

Pumpkintown U.S.A., 93 East High Street, East Hampton. Take a stroll through Pumkintown USA Village where over 70 pumpkinhead people and their animals enjoy life in their old-fashioned village complete with a church, post office, saloon, and more. Weekend activities include a unique Sling-aDing game. Village. Adults and children over 10 8.00 per person/ Children 3-10 5.00 per person. October 1-13: Cromwell

Fair Westher Growers Fall Festival & Corn Maze, 10 County Line Drive, Cromwell. Bring the whole family and celebrate the season with us. Explore our corn maze, enjoy relaxing hayrides, and take part in so many family-friendly activities that everyone will love. There will also be plenty of delicious food and seasonal treats to enjoy! Friday (9:00 AM- 6:00 PM)

October 1: Wethersfield

30th Annual Scarecrows Along Main, Main Street, Wethersfield. Come to the cultural and historic district of Wethersfield this October and see something spectacular! Scarecrows will be popping up along side shops, restaurants, museums, Colonial homes and more this fall season. FREE

October 2-25: Essex

Tracks of Terror, Essex Steam Train & Riverboat, 1 Railroad Ave., Essex. Tracks of Terror begins as you enter the platform and have a front row seat to the movie short that sets the stage of our immersive experience. Admission $49.99

October 3: Putnam

Out & About in Connecticut OCTOBER 2025

Putnam’s Zombie Fashion Show, Rotary Park, 190 Kennedy Drive, Putnam. On October 3, 2025, the park will transform into a haunted runway where zombies of all ages will showcase their most gruesome looks. The event kicks off at 7:00 p.m. sharp, with the eerie sounds of Daley’s “Deadly” DJ service and Master of the Crypt (MC) for the evening, “Scary” (Gary) O of WINY Radio setting the tone for a night of spooky spectacles. FREE

October 3: Norwich

Storytime at Slater, Slater Memorial Museum, 108 Crescent Street, Norwich. Children will learn about the art object from museum staff before listening to stories read by an Otis librarian. Surprise dancing and song breaks will get everyone involved! Once the stories are complete, museum staff will lead children through a craft inspired by the day’s theme. Stories are best fit for ages 6 and under, but all ages are welcome! FREE

October 3: Litchfield

Harvest Bounty German Fest, Litchfield Community Center, 421 Bantam Road, Litchfield. 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Admission: $7 at the door

October 3 - November 2: Oakdale

Pumpkin Passage: Kid-friendly Halloween at The Dinosaur Place, 1650 Rt. 85, Oakdale. The Dinosaur Place in Montville, CT once again transforms into a magical wonderland of lights, pumpkins, and friendly dinosaurs! The annual Halloween event, Pumpkin Passage, is a trail of lights, pumpkins, dinosaurs, and fun activities your kids would love. The enchanting light displays will illuminate a Halloween trail and create a festive Halloween atmosphere.

October 4: Ellington

Connecticut Humane Society Annual Pet Adoption Event, Ellington Agway, 74 West Road, Ellington, CT. Connecticut Humane Society Annual Pet Adoption Event in partnership with Superior Energy in Vernon, will be happening this year on Saturday, Oct 4th from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. A day filled with fun, love, and the chance to change a pet’s life forever. FREE

October 4: Hartford

Stars Hollow Saturday on Pratt Street, Pratt Street, Hartford. This fall we’re turning Pratt Street into Stars Hollow! Join us on Saturday, October 4th for the second annual Stars Hollow Saturday �� It’s going to be the perfect fall day to put on your best Lorelai Gilmore outfit, get overly caffeinated and stroll down the cutest street in Connecticut. 11am – 4pm

Superhero Celebration at Mystic Aquarium, 55 Coogan Boulevard, Mystic. Our Loch Ness-themed corn maze invites you to test your skills as you navigate twists, turns, and hidden clues among towering corn stalks.

October 10: Storrs

Disney’s Moana: Live-To-Film Concert, Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts: 2132 Hillside Road, Unit 3104, Storrs. Set sail with Moana in this unforgettable experience, where fans can sing along to the hit songs from Disney’s Moana while watching the film on the big screen! October 17: New London

New London Halloween Town, 1 Waterfront Park Street, New London. The City of New London, in collaboration with the Downtown New London Association, invites families to immerse themselves in a spooktacular Halloween experience at Halloween Town, an event set to take place on Friday, October 17th from 6pm to 8:30pm at the spooky New London Waterfront Park. 6pm to 8pm

October 25: Newtown

2025 Jack O’Lantern Jamboree, EverWonder Childrens Museum, 11 Mile Hill Road, Suite 1, Newtown. Our Jack O’Lantern Jamboree is sure to excite curious and brave minds! Similar to previous years, this event will include all sorts of sticky, slimy, or gross stations and experiments throughout the museum! **NEW THIS YEAR** Sensory Tickets available from 9-10am for children with sensory needs (and their families).
