After some financial problems, Fernando was reported once again for being involved in street fighting and a dramatic car accident from which he came out miraculously uninjured. However, another report drowned him in despair after purchasing a property through an extinct banking agency of the nineties. As if it was not enough, the Peruvian Anti-corruption Police implicated him in a well-known case of corruption, which linked him to a front man of the Government back then. “It was a lesson from God, because I was very proud and arrogant,” he recognizes. Having only two weeks to submit evidence of his innocence so as not to

lose their home, Fernando and his wife sought the support of the Christian brother, without imagining that they would convert to the Gospel in one of the churches of the Worldwide Missionary Movement in the district of San Juan de Miraflores. They got married in 2001 and have been, ever since, members of the mother church in Lima, Peru. “By having an experience with God, I knew the truth and felt His presence. My soul was in such a need of God,” he says. Currently, Fernando drives a school bus. Despite his aggressive past, parents trust him.
