FAQ’S When can I get married at CairnGorm Mountain? We strongly recommend trying to plan your dates between May and September, as outside of this season there is an increased risk of bad weather. Is CairnGorm Mountain suitable for both ceremony and reception? Due to our location being a ‘working’ mountain, guests often find that it is more practical to host their ceremony down in the valley (Aviemore) and then head on up to CairnGorm for their reception, once the public opening hours have finished at 5.45pm. Can we get married at the summit? It has been known for couples to say their vows at the summit on a ‘Guided Wedding Hill Walk’ but this is subject to many factors such as weather, the registrar and our staff. Please enquire for further details. What is the maximum number of reception guests permitted at CairnGorm Mountain? We can cater for up to 120 guests in our Ptarmigan Restaurant at the Top Station, for an evening reception. Do you offer Food & Beverage Packages? Our highly skilled kitchen can provide a wide range of menu options to suit your needs, and our Ptarmigan Restaurant boasts a private licensed bar for yourself and your guests to enjoy. How do we reach the Ptarmigan Restaurant/Top Station? CairnGorm Mountain is proudly home to Scotland’s only (and fully accessible) Funicular Railway, transporting guests from our Base Station and car park to the Top Station in less than 10 minutes.
