Create gorgeous effects on your cards with a few simple cuts and folds! By Julie Gibbs

P

apercutting is one of those techniques that sounds a bit daunting but is actually quite easy to do. You’ll only need a craft knife and a cutting mat to work on, so there’s no need to buy any special equipment! There are all sorts of ways you can create interesting effects on your cards, and here designer Julie has five ideas to get you started. Try cutting around the wings of stamped butterflies and folding them up to give your image extra dimension. You can also cut interesting shapes into background papers, or use our template below to create a pretty embellishment or a decorative edge for your base card.
