We have now completed the awards based on the amount donated by the deadline. Serve-A-Thon was a success this year as we raised $78,815 to date. The money raised will not only support our school in meeting our financial needs for the year, but 10% will be donated to our 3 sister schools in India, Romania, and Rwanda. Students who have earned an award were given a letter yesterday indicating their prize level along with a list of prizes. All prize redemptions are due by Friday, December 6. Class parties will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 10 for the classes that completed the requirements to earn an ice cream sundae/pizza party. Classes that earned this award will be notified. Thank you for your great support. We are always glad to continue to receive donations anytime! News and Notes Thanksgiving Boxes THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to the Thanksgiving Boxes this year. We took 35 boxes (complete with $25 gift cards) to Annandale Terrace Elementary School right here in our own neighborhood. The Principal and Staff of ATES are always so excited and overjoyed with your generosity. They greatly appreciate this partnership and look forward to it each year. The boxes go to very needy families who are speechless with gratitude! In fact, we were the only donators of Thanksgiving boxes to ATES this year, which makes this ICS tradition even more special! Thank you so much for your support and participation. A special thank you to Jill Rummell and her Parent Service Teams... you always do a great job organizing this project. And thanks to Officer Jordan for helping Mrs. Atkinson load the boxes and to Mrs. McIntyre for helping deliver. What a great team! Note from Clinic We are seeing a large number of students at school with fevers, sore throats and upset stomachs. If your child is complaining about any of the above symptoms, please be sure to take their temperature before going to school. Your child is not allowed to come to school if they have vomited or had diarrhea within the last 24 hours. They must also stay home if they have had a fever of 100 degrees or higher) within the last 24 hours. They may return to school after being fever-free for 24 hours without being on fever-reducing medication (Tylenol or Motrin). Thank you in advance for doing your part in keeping our kids from spreading illness. Wilderness Retreat Reception Tonight Do you want to hear more about your 8th grader's days in the woods other than "it was ok" or "we had fun"? Come join the 8B class and the Wilderness Retreat staff for an evening of sharing. You will be blessed through personal narratives of the trip and a special video. Please plan to join us for this special event. 

Grandparents' Day on Friday, December 20 Since 1995, we have been inviting grandparents to Immanuel Christian School to be a part of our school-wide Christmas celebration. Grandparents are a special part of ICS, and we enjoy the opportunity to include them in the life of our school. After the All-School Chapel, grandparents are invited to the Atrium for light refreshments and music by our orchestra, followed by visits to grandchildren's classroom(s). 

Information about grandparent visits was included in your youngest child's 1st quarter report card along with two invitations. We would like RSVPs by December 9. If you need more than two invitations please contact the school office.

Questions? Below are some FAQ's about Grandparents' Day. If you have other questions, please feel free to contact the school office.  May parents and siblings attend the Christmas Chapel program? Yes! Everyone is invited.  Are parents able to visit the classrooms with the grandparents? Space is very limited in the classrooms; therefore, we request that only grandparents or special guests visit the classrooms. If grandparents have physical limitations or need special assistance, please contact Susan Huber in the school office to let her know that a parent will be accompanying the guest.  Do my guests need to RSVP? Yes, we'd love to know about how many guests to expect. We also have included with the grandparent invitation a short form to complete that will tell us a little about them. The RSVP can be mailed back to ICS or can be completed online through the ICS website.  If I am mailing the invitation do I still need to update my grandparent information on ParentsWeb? Yes, we'd like to know their contact information so we can mail them a Christmas greeting from ICS.  May I help? Certainly! A SignUp Genius has been created. Please click here to log on and see how you can volunteer to help on this special day!
