Development An initiative of the Sunshine Coast Division of General Practice in conjunction with the Commonwealth and Queensland Government Productivity Places Program and Healthfirst Training Australia. Developed and delivered by general practice and primary care industry professionals. Nationally accredited training providing nationally recognised qualifications. Highly subsidised placements.
Subsidised placments are only available until 30 June 2011. Limited places remain.
Course Structure Standard 15/16 module courses tailored and condensed into 5 primary care and general practice focused components. Focused content directly applicable to your workplace.
Eliminate duplication. Logical study progression. Reduced study demands. Content and assessment focused on your work environment. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) directly related to workplace activities. RPL is component based and assessed prior to the corresponding component. Component 1 is a core component and it is recomended that all students complete this component.
Assessment predominantly utilises direct work related documentation and templates for completion and upload. This is supported by online multiple choice style questions. All course content and related works are the intellectual property of Health Training Online and the Sunshine Coast Division of General Practice and must not be reproduced or distributed to any third party. Learning Platform Full online delivery is provided through online.healthtrainingonline.com.au. Full content and assessment available online.
Self-paced learning and flexible study patterns. You will need a computer with Internet access, and be able to access PDF, Word, and Excel based files. Suitable free software for PDF files indludes Adobe Reader this is the most common PDF reader. PrimoPDF is an alternative free PDF reader that also converts the online content to PDF files for saving or printing.
Microsoft Office 2007 or later is recommended however Microsoft Office 2000 and the free Open Office software are also suitable but with reduced functionality for Word and Excel files.

Course commencement is staggered in groups of 20-30 over June and July with the Diploma of Practice Management first followed by the Certificate IV in Health Administration. You will receive a Course Commencement email with log-in and study details prior to your commencement. This will be sent to your personal email address provided o enrollment. Please advise if you would perfer to use an alternative email address. A recommended study plan and Time Line provides progression guidance and benchmarking. Working to this time frame provides the optimum opportunity to access group and Health Training Online
support events. A Personal Time Line should be developed to plan and manage your study in-line with the recommended Time Line. The Time Line frame work for each course will be provided with your course commencement email. Courses must be completed by June 2012.
