Learn why these members chose to apply for executive board, what they hope to bring to the Chapter, and an interesting fact about themselves. President – Cassidy Obis “I chose to become a PRSSA leader because I wanted to give back to the organization that has truly helped me find myself in my time here at ISU. I can confidently say that I would not be where I am in my pre-professional career if it were not for PRSSA. I hope that as a leader, I can help other members find their place. I want to be a resource for whatever it is other members have questions about or need help with.” Interesting fact: Cassidy used to attend school in Minnesota, and she can touch her nose with her tongue.

National Liaison – Frank Hopper “I decided to become a leader in PRSSA because I wanted to give back to the organization. PRSSA helped me find my passion for the industry and also helped to kick start my future as a PR professional!” Interesting fact: Frank won an award in second grade for writing a children’s book called “The Real Reason the Chicken Crossed the Road.” Director of Digital Media – Lily Sherer “I have grown so much professionally and personally because of PRSSA. I am dedicated to giving back to the Chapter by helping shape and lead the next wave of members through being a mentor and animated leader. As the Chapter’s primary storyteller, I hope to use my creativity and bold thinking to continue increasing the Chapter’s online presence.” Interesting fact: When Lily was a senior in high school, she was symbolically adopted into her host family during a three week volunteer trip to the Luo tribe in Kenya.

Vice President – Ali Seys “I wanted to join the executive board because I had such a great experience as a member and interacting with the current e-board. They were great role models and made transferring here and getting involved fun and easy. I had so much fun as a member this year that I really wanted to step up into a leadership position and get even more involved.”
