New Year,

New Opportunities By Kellian Reed Each new year presents an opportunity for growth and development. The nationally accredited Illinois State University Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America has grown professionally over the years and implemented new changes for the 2014-2015 school year. As active millennials working almost entirely in media, it is vital to stay among trends in the public relations field and make necessary changes as the ISU PRSSA Chapter grows. The Chapter has added the position of director of PRogressive Image to the executive board, making it a seven-member board. PRi is the Chapter’s student-run firm. With the responsibility of reporting to various clients and providing desired outcomes, it is important for a representative to sit on the executive board to keep all members updated on the actions of the firm. Nick Hebert serves as the 2014-2015 director. He is responsible for checking in with the account executives and members of the committee. In addition to the new executive board position, ISU PRSSA added two new ad hoc positions for the 2014-2015 year: alumni chair and the graphic design team The Chapter is focused on expanding its work and strengthening relationships with alumni, so these positions are the perfect addition. continued on page 5
